Wanna show off your team's savings or show others that you're taking action?  Use our free and easy Energy Challenge widgets on your blog or webpage to show others the impact of your action and ask them to join your team.  Perfect for official websites!

How to Do It

  1. Select "Add to My Challenge" and pledge to show off online with an Energy Challenge widget.
  2. Decide which widget you want to use - about the Energy Challenge in general, about your Challenge or about a team.
  3. For the general Energy Challenge widget, visit the front page and click on "Get the Widget" (in the middle of the screen) for the code.
  4. For a widget about the actions that your household is taking, click on "My Challenge" and look for the "My Savings Widget" on the right-hand column.
  5. For a widget about a team, visit that team's Energy Challenge page and look for "Get the Team Widget" on the right-hand column.
  6. Paste that code on your website or blog (remember, it's in HTML!)
  7. Congratulate yourself on spreading the word about the Energy Challenge and taking action that makes a difference for Minnesota!

    A widget is a chunk of code that can be embedded within a web page to add content separate from the page that is not static.  For example, widgets are often used to create clocks, event countdowns or daily weather updates on pages.

    There are three different widgets that you can automatically generate in your My Challenge dashboard:
    1. Show off your team's standings
    2. Show off your account's savings; or
    3. Show off the Energy Challenge.

    Once you have decided which widget you want to use, generate the code on the Energy Challenge website and copy it.  You will then need to paste it into the HTML (HyperText Markup Language) or code for your website or blog.
