Carbon Footprint
Our Carbon Footprint tool can help you calculate your household's current emissions. Knowing your current energy use is the first step in finding ways to reduce it! The average Minnesota household produces over 51,900 pounds of carbon dioxide pollution and spends over $4,300 on energy every year. How does your household compare?

Congrats to the recipients of the 2009 City of Minneapolis Climate Change Innovation Grants, a nationally-recognized grant program to encourage inventive local climate action. This year grantees are promoting clotheslines, composting, biking to church, garden-share programs, local food, energy block clubs and more! All the grantees are using the Minnesota Energy Challenge to track their community's savings and promote energy efficiency and conservation, so show your support by joining their teams.
