Community Organizing
The Minnesota Energy Challenge is a useful tool to organize communities (neighborhoods, congregations, businesses, block clubs, schools, etc) around energy efficiency and show that your community is "walking the walk." Using our team system, you can show the impact of your community's collective action and motivate households to take action! Use the following community organizer tools to promote your team on the Challenge. Please contact Neely Crane-Smith with any questions at ncranesmith@mncee.org or 612-335-5852.

Utility Programs and Resources
The State of Minnesota requires that all Minnesota utilities encourage their customers to become more energy efficient by providing information services and offering rebates.
Only utilities with extensive energy efficiency rebate programs are listed on this site. Almost all utilities offer energy audits and general energy saving information. If your utility isn’t listed, contact them and ask them about their energy efficiency programs.
Here are some English as a Second Language and translated resources about energy efficiency and conservation.
Congrats to the recipients of the 2009 City of Minneapolis Climate Change Innovation Grants, a nationally-recognized grant program to encourage inventive local climate action. This year grantees are promoting clotheslines, composting, biking to church, garden-share programs, local food, energy block clubs and more! All the grantees are using the Minnesota Energy Challenge to track their community's savings and promote energy efficiency and conservation, so show your support by joining their teams.
